Air flow

Specially designed mesh on the back of the backpack.

Laptop compartment

Depending on the model there are different sizes and features of laptop compartments: simple or more complicated (laptop + tablet). The mark 15″, 15.4″, 15.6″ or 17″ shows which size of laptop can fit in.

Banana straps

Straps follow the anatomy of the shoulders and body, so weight is spread more evenly.

Advantages · More comfort while wearing a heavy backpack.

Side pockets

On the sides of the backpack are single or double mesh pockets for a water bottle, juice or coffee mug.

Advantages · Easy access to water and reduced risk of leakage inside the backpack.

Adjustment straps

These straps are positioned on top of the shoulder straps and their purpose is to adjust the height of the backpack to your body.

Advantages · If the straps are adjusted correctly, the backpack will be more comfortable and its weight will be distributed more to the legs (not to the spine). Very important for small kids.

Metal zipper pullers

Zipper pullers made from metal with a hole inside, so you can lock two pullers together and completely close the compartment.

Advantages · Better durability (compared with rubber or plastic) and the possibility of locking the compartment (anti-theft).

Free standing

Backpacks with this mark have a bottom made from a metal construction inside EVA foam, so the backpack will stand by itself when placed on the floor (it will not fall).

Advantages · Small kids often put their backpack on the floor, so the backpack will not fall and get dirty.

Double bottom

The bottom of the backpack is made with 3 layers (lining, foam and outer material).

Advantages · Keeps a better shape of the backpack; sharp objects cannot cut through (scissors or sharp books); better durability.

Buckles made of special material. Tested resistance of 85 kg force.

Reflecting material

Reflecting material is added on some parts of the backpack.

Advantages · Protects kids or adults in traffic. Very important for small kids.

Raincover

On the bottom of the backpack there is a special pocket in which the raincover is placed. The raincover is made from bright green Polyester 210D and reflecting material.

Advantages · Protects the backpack from rain, but also kids or adults in traffic. Very important for small kids.

Water repellent

The material of the backpack has a layer of special gel which repels water, so water does not touch the surface of the material — it just slides off.

Advantages · After walking in the rain, just shake your backpack and it will be dry again. Very convenient for outdoor sports and small kids (no need to dry the backpack for hours). Please note that if you wash your backpack with detergent, water repellency may be reduced or come off. The backpack will still be waterproof (because of the inner coating), so water will not come inside the backpack, but the outer layer of material will be wet.

Media holes

Media holes are positioned on the top or side of the backpack, so you can put your media (phone or player) inside the backpack and pull the earphones through the media hole.

Advantages · Your media (phone or player) is protected inside the backpack, so there is less chance of breaking or theft.

Media pocket

Special pocket made from anti-scratch material.

Advantages · Your media is better protected from scratches and damage.

USB-headset connector

A new connector for headphones and USB (2in1), placed on the shoulder straps with a wire directly inside the backpack.

Advantages · You can use a power bank inside the backpack and easily recharge your phone while still using it. More safety in traffic (easy plug in and out). More safety for media, which is placed safely inside the backpack. No more intricate cables.

Name tag

Rubber tag on the back of backpacks for small kids, so you can write a name and address.

Advantages · If your kid's backpack is lost, there is a better chance of finding it. There is also less chance of exchanging similar backpacks between kids.

Back frame

Inside the backing there is a metal anatomical construction which prevents bending of the spine.

Advantages · Together with banana straps and adjustment straps, the back frame prevents small kids from bending their spine, pulls the shoulders back and distributes weight safely to the legs. Very important for small kids.
